Reverend Kathy Wafer
Associate Minister Phone: 318-861-0586 x226 E-mail: kathysw@broadmoorumc.org
Kathy Wafer has been married to Corry Wafer for over 20 years and they have two daughters, Jessica 17 and Madeline 13. Kathy has a Master’s in Education and taught elementary school in the Caddo Parish School District for over 20 years. During her last five years of teaching she began to feel an urge to enter into the ministry. After retiring from school and completing ministry requirements Kathy began serving as a full time local pastor. Kathy is currently pursuing a Master’s of Divinity through Garrett Evangelical Seminary. As an associate at Broadmoor, Rev. Wafer has worked with Evangelism, Prayer Ministry, Hospitality, Health and Wellness, and Women’s Ministry. She also teaches in the Living Faith Sunday school class. Her passion is teaching and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in the many opportunities of service that she is able to do. Kathy’s family has been members of Broadmoor since 1991. Her daughters love our youth group and her husband enjoys teaching in the 10th grade Sunday school class. As a family they also enjoy traveling and boating when they get a chance. Kathy and Corry enjoy hiking, however that is not Jessica’s and Madeline’s favorite thing to do. They have many hiking memories and nightmares in their family history! It is Kathy’s prayer that whenever you enter the doors of Broadmoor you will feel welcomed and it will feel like home to you as it has felt like home to her family!

Mrs. Bonnie Daniel
Director of Children's Ministries Phone: 318-861-0586 x224 E-mail: bonnie@broadmoorumc.org
Bonnie Daniel is the Director of Children's Ministry, as well as the Program Director. That mean's she spends most of her time doing children's ministry and the rest of her time is divided between adult ministry and keeping track of all the meetings, programs, and church and community activities that use the church building. So that adds up to about (how many??) hours a week??? Bonnie has been on the staff of BUMC since July, 1995 and one of the best things about it is she lives just right around the corner. Bonnie's husband Tom is the Assistant Principal at Greenacres Middle School in Bossier. He retired as a Colonel from the Air Force in 1995 and that's when they came "home". Tom and Bonnie both graduated from high school in Bossier - he from Airline and she from Bossier (big rivals!) They actually met at church - MYF to be exact , and they got married in 1968. They did a lot of traveling around in the 25 years of Air Force life but are happy that God's choices for their lives led them back to Shreveport/Bossier. Tom & Bonnie have two sons, Trey and Chris, who work together in their landscape business - The Daniel Design Group. Their beautiful daughter, Becky, passed away in 2003 at age 23. They have two of the best granddaughters in the world: Lillie, born in 1998 and Maddie, born in 2003. When Bonnie is not working, she loves to read, watch Judge Judy (shame ! ), 24, Alias and The Andy Griffith Show. Tom & Bonnie enjoy going to the movie or renting movies to watch at home, and going out to eat occasionally - especially to El Chico's ( Tom's favorite since high school), Monjuni's and Imperial Cathey. Bonnie loves Beth Moore Bible Studies (with Kathy Wafer teaching), Rotation Sunday School, TnT, her New Evening Circle, and her Companions Group. Bonnie's favorite Bible verse is Lamentations 3: 22-23.
